Serdar Ferit - Creative Director
 
Serdar Ferit is a writer, director and producer. He has excelled in visually attractive drama, documentaries, virals and music videos, winning several awards for his work and receiving personal praise from the likes of Kevin Spacey, Mike Figgis and Nik Powell.

Serdar has an academic background in fiction film directing and documentary film-making, having completed post-graduate degrees in both disciplines. He is a certified editor and trained cameraman and teaches part-time at Bucks New University and the London Academy of Radio, Film & TV.
 
 
 
Paulina Tervo - Producer / Director
 
Paulina Tervo is a producer, director and writer with many years of experience working in film, television and online. She focuses mainly on documentaries, awareness and campaign videos and educational multimedia content. Speaking five languages she has produced films in a number of European countries, as well as Ethiopia, Malawi, Palestine and Israel. Her recent film ‘Thorns and Silk’ has received international acclaim and is currently screening at film festivals around the globe. She is currently developing several international multi-platform projects and documentaries.

Paulina has an academic background in both documentary film-making and international development and likes to explore social and anthropological themes in her films. She is especially interested in feminist ideology, and different cultural and religious belief systems. She is passionate about telling extraordinary stories with visual flair and creativity. She also teaches film and has recently run workshops at the international film festival of Malawi.
 
 
 
Joel Devenish - Business & Production Development
 
Joel Devenish is our business development manager and production assistant.  He has a solid background in sales and retail management and has worked for exciting and energetic companies such as Nike and Quiksilver.

His passions extend through sales and into film and media where he currently works to develop and co-ordinate Write This Down productions.  Joel is also a keen post production editor and is skilled in Avid and Final Cut Pro.
 
 
 
Daniele Mercanti - Director of Photography / Online Editor
 
Daniele is a multi-skilled camera operator with experience in lighting for both Film and TV. He has a keen interest in documentary film-making and character driven fiction. Daniele started his career in Rome working as Camera Assistant in film productions based in Cinecittá then moved to London to complete BA degree in Contemporary Media Practice specialising in moving image photography.

In the UK has worked several years in leading Vfx facility Smoke and Mirrors acquiring strong knowledge of digital post-production workflows. Daniele is following a continued learning path focused on mastering Film photography and Research the new frontiers of digital cinema.
 
 
 
Catalin Brylla - Editor
 
Catalin is a freelance editor, filmmaker and university lecturer based in London and draws on vast filmmaking experience in documentaries, fiction and promos. Speaking six languages his work has taken him to Spain, Austria, Romania and Tanzania. Catalin’s efficient and thoughtful approach considers not only the 'how' but also the 'why'.

This couples his technical skills with an artistic sense for visual storytelling. His work has been shown at festivals, such as Assim Vivemos (Rio de Janeiro), the Hawaii International Film Festival, FESPACO (Burkina Faso) and the Goteborg International Film Festival. His broadcast credits include TV Brazil, SVT1 (Sweden) and Quatar TV.
 
 
 
Aykut Evin - Sound Recordist / Sound Editor
 
Aykut is our Sound Recordist and Sound Designer with excellent knowledge of sound post-production. He's very enthusiastic about his role and experienced in film and TV.

Having studied a degree in Sound Arts and Design, Aykut has further developed his skills and ideas on the treatment of sound and broadened his vision on the application of sound to moving images.
 
 
 
Jasleen Gill - Distribution & production intern
 
Jasleen Gill is recent graduate from Royal Holloway, University of London with a BA Hons in Media Arts. She is doing an internship with Write This Down as a production and distribution assistant across several projects. She has a great interest in making documentaries, which explore different cultures and aim to educate people on the differing values, ideologies and belief systems of the world and why they exist. She aspires to one day produce her own films, both documentary and fiction
